Dr Gan is a medical physician at Southern Alphamen Clinic in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, with a clinical focus on men’s health, sexual health, sexual medicine and psychosexual medicine. He provides assessment and treatment for a range of men’s health and sexual health concerns, including erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, Peyronie’s disease, prostate disorders, andropause and male infertility.
His medical background includes training in Cardiology and Psychiatry. Dr Gan obtained his medical degree from the University of Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, through a local scholarship and completed his housemanship at Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA), Johor Bahru. He subsequently served as a medical resident in Cardiology at HSA before spending two years as a medical resident in the Psychiatry Department at Hospital Permai.
During his psychiatry rotations in General and Geriatric Psychiatry, Dr Gan developed a particular interest in psychosexual medicine. He is also a practitioner of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychotherapy, supporting patients whose sexual health concerns may involve psychological, emotional or relationship-related factors.
Dr Gan has further pursued postgraduate studies in aesthetic medicine in Malaysia and andrology in Singapore, and is a member of the Society for Men’s Health Singapore.
